Access controller for PS5: Sony reveals release date and price

sony communicated today the release date and price of the Access controller for the PlayStation 5. This is an accessibility controller that will allow players with disabilities to play more comfortably and for longer.

The Access controller allows you to customize the layout of the keys thanks to different joystick or key caps in various shapes and designs. Gamers can use it from any 360-degree orientation and connect third-party accessibility accessories to it through its standard 3.5mm expansion ports.

At the level of the PlayStation 5, it is possible to configure many parameters for the Access controller according to the needs. Gamers can assign keys to create up to 30 command profiles, adjust joystick settings, enable or disable commands, or even disable keys entirely to prevent accidental presses. Plus, they have the ability to pair up to two Access controllers and one DualSense wireless controller to use them together.

Pre-orders for the PS5 Access controller will open on July 21 at 10 a.m. This will be in place in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Austria and Portugal. The price will be €89.99, with marketing on December 6 (worldwide, not just in the countries mentioned above).

Sony says pre-orders will be available on live.playstation.comas well as some resellers.
