A smart ring that ties you to a subscription

The Finnish company Oura introduced third generation your smart Ring ring. At first glance, the same piece of jewelry still hides several new or improved functions and also comes with a new format of payments for services provided. Oura Ring Generation 3 capabilities include, for example all-day heart rate analysis, much more accurate measurement of temperature or sleep cycles, predicting menstruation and determining SpO2 or blood oxygenation.

However, detailed statistics, videos or audio guides are now available in the app only within paid membership in Oura Membership. It comes out monthly on 6 eur (approx. 150 CZK), and when buying a new ring, the first half of the year is free. The battery lasts four to seven days and should be charged within a maximum of 80 minutes.

Oura Ring Generation 3 can now be pre-ordered directly on the manufacturer’s website and its price depends on the material used. The silver and black variants will be available at 314 eur (about 8,100 CZK), stealth and gold versions then on 419 eur (approximately 10,800 CZK). Sending a paid ring will begin on November 15.
