A new paid version of WhatsApp?

Used by two billion users worldwide, WhatsApp often offers new features to put the competition at a safe distance. Messaging No. 1 has never made money, but it has no financial problems, especially since it was bought by Meta (Facebook).

But whenever we talk about WhatsApp in the media, it always takes on huge proportions. And for good reason: everyone uses it, so even Mr. and Mrs. Michu are potentially interested! Between worries, misunderstandings, scam attempts and threats, not a week goes by without talking about the app…

A paid WhatsApp? Yes, but…

The information of the moment is part of an article by WABetaInfo, a site that analyzes all beta versions that come out. The latter speaks of a paid version of messaging. This is not the app we all know, but WhatsApp Business: the version intended for businesses. If the latter is still free, Meta would like to make its baby profitable a little by offering a subscription. This formula would make it possible to centralize a professional account on 10 devices instead of 4. It would therefore be a question of facilitating the management of a company account by better compartmentalizing responsibilities. It’s an interesting perspective, but it doesn’t seem like much for deciding SMEs to go to the checkout. Of course, nothing has filtered on the price or the availability of the subscription.
