When your little one suffers under the supervision of someone else, you certainly don’t thank them for it.

Moniek (36), mother of Jasper (10):

“It’s been three years, but I’m not over it yet. Jasper was seven, rather small for his age and barely able to ride a bike when boyfriend Max’s father put him on the quad bike and let him ride down the street without a helmet. Jasper had no idea how to steer such a thing and crashed in the corner. Max’s father was furious that the quad bike had been damaged and started swearing. Jasper ran home in a panic.

Damage claim

His knees were bleeding and he could barely get his words out. I didn’t know what I heard when Jasper mentioned a quad bike. You must have a driver’s license for that. My kid could have killed himself.

“I didn’t know what I heard when Jasper talked about a quad”

Then Max came to bring Jasper’s coat with the announcement that his father would file a claim with us. He thought we should pay for the repair of the quad. I told Daddy to come and tell me himself. That never happened, thankfully. I’m a little afraid of that man.”

Karin (39), mother of Tim (10):

“When my son was playing with the neighbor’s child, he was bitten by their German Shepherd. He came home crying. There was a big jaw impression in his leg, he was bleeding and had to have a tetanus shot right away. To this day I am waiting for an apology from the neighbors across the street.”
