Chromecast with Google TV now officially for sale in the Netherlands
Google will now officially sell its Chromecast with Google TV in the Netherlands. It comes with a remote control and turns your television into a smart TV. Google TV brings content from all streaming services together on one main screen and that also works with Viaplay and Ziggo GO, among others.

Chromecast with Google TV
It will finally come our way: the Chromecast with Google TV. The accessory was announced in 2020 and the main novelty is that it makes your television smart thanks to Google TV. With the remote you can browse the interface and Google can recommend content from all streaming services if it is of interest to you. Google TV learns your interests based on the movies and series you watch.
You could previously buy the Chromecast with Google TV through web shops that imported it from abroad. Only Google TV could not yet show content from the Dutch streaming services. This will change with the official arrival in the Netherlands, because Google can recommend films and series from the following services:

- Netflix
- Disney+
- Prime Video
- Video country
- NPO Start
- Ziggo GO
- viaplay
- HBO Max
- Apple TV
Have you bought a Chromecast with Google TV before? Don’t worry, because it receives an update that makes it work with the Dutch streaming services. In May, it was also announced that Google TV now also works with viewing profiles. That is, multiple users can interact with Google TV and each see personalized recommendations.

4K HDR and Google Assistant
Of course you can still cast content from apps to your TV by pressing the cast icon. To install it, plug it into an HDMI port on your TV and connect it to AC power with an AC adapter. The Chromecast with Google TV can stream in HDR and a 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. It also supports Dolby Vision.
Furthermore, the Chromecast comes with a remote control that has a special button for the Google Assistant. Hold it down while you ask questions in Dutch about movies, series, genres, music or all kinds of other questions such as the weather, dimming the lights or viewing a Nest Cam or Doorbell on the screen.
