Children under the age of ten are only allowed to play games in South Africa under the supervision of an adult. The new rules will come into effect next month, but it is not yet known how they will be checked.

The new guidelines, published by the South African Film and Publication Board, state that children under the age of ten should only play games with adult supervision. According to the authorities, there are no games that are suitable for all ages.

The authorities state that there is a danger that children learn criminal acts through games. The rules also state that video game makers should be more careful about rewarding violence in their games.
