Following on from this, Google announced the Real Tone filters for Google Photos at this year’s Google I/O. These Real Tone filters are made to reproduce all skin tones in a realistic way. The feature was due to be rolled out in the coming weeks, and the search giant has now launched it. The new Real Tone filters should be visible in the Filters tab of the Google Photos editor. You will then see filters with the names Playa, Isla, Honey and Desert. Google gives on Twitter the filters are specifically designed to “work well on a variety of skin tones”. As soon as you select such a filter, you will see on the screen that it is a Real Tone filter.
The new filters will be available in Google Photos for Android, iOS and the web version. Have you seen the Real Tone filters yet? Are you going to use them? Let us know in the comments.
