Tales From The Borderlands 2 announced
Fans of interactive stories have reason to rejoice because one of the most popular Telltale games is getting a sequel. So none other than Gearbox, the development studio behind the Borderlands games, has now announced that players will have a new Tales From The Borderlands imminent.
And “imminent” is no exaggeration. Because the surprisingly announced game should be released this year, as a spokesman for Gearbox announced at a PAX East event. (Source: Twitter)
What else is known so far?
In terms of content, you should not expect a direct sequel to the events of the first part. It has already been announced that a new group should focus on interesting characters.
However, it is quite possible that one or the other beloved character from the first part will make an appearance. After all, Fiona’s and Rhys’ journey didn’t seem to be quite over yet.
Unfortunately, there is no first trailer yet, but this picture, which the Shadows of the new protagonists indicates:
Telltale Games is not involved in the development of the game this time. The adventure is developed in-house, i.e. completely by Gearbox itself.
That doesn’t mean that Telltale has given up making games entirely. After all, after its bankruptcy in 2018, the company became a year later bought up. Since then, the team has focused on the brands they still own. Above all The Wolf Among Us. (Source: IGN)
The sequel to the dark fairy tale awaits you in 2023. One first trailer can be seen here:
