Ukraine wins the battle of the Internet and the heart of the web
The Russian army decided a few days ago to invade Ukraine. Clashes are now taking place in many important cities of the territory, notably in Kharkiv or Kiev. Vladimir Putin stunned everyone by justifying his attack for the purpose of “denazification”. On the TV channels of the country of Tolstoy, false reports are looping showing the Ukrainian people as perpetrators of acts of cruelty endangering the Russians. If propaganda works in Russia, everywhere else in the world, no one is fooled. In the game of communication on the web, we can even say that it is Ukraine that wins all the votes.

It is indeed a great outpouring of support and solidarity towards the Ukrainian people which was born out of this conflict. If the governments of the whole world have taken economic sanctions against Russia, Internet users also never stop supporting the attacked country in their own way. This is how we saw many publications that sanctify some important symbols of Ukraine’s resistance to its attackers. It is indeed almost a new mythology that is being created around the events that are taking place right now on the ground.
We first saw the birth of Saint-Javelinan almost religious-looking icon of a Madonna who holds in her hands the famous American-made missile launcher that helps Ukrainian fighters repel tank attacks.

The army announced that it had destroyed 14 planes, 8 helicopters, 102 tanks, 536 armored vehicles and 15 artillery systems with it. We can indeed understand that the object today takes on the character of a sacred protector. This is also the case of the NLAW, another weapon against tanks, this time from the United Kingdom.
There is something positive about this war, after all. #NLAW and #Russia`n tanks have finally met and got to know each other.#Ukraine #Tinder pic.twitter.com/iU3HEcBb1N

We DO need another hero! (Sorry, Tina!)
In the air, the country also needs heroes and has seen the birth of the formidable Ghost of Kyiv (The Phantom of Kiev). This virtuoso MiG-29 pilot would have shot down 6 enemy aircraft single-handedly on the first day. The Ukrainian Security Service has since announced that he has killed 10 Russian jets. His legend has only grown since the beginning of the conflict even if he is impossible to know if it is real. It is therefore very likely that it was created from scratch for the simple purpose of boosting the morale of the troops and giving them hope.
The coolest nickname and the most badass man to ever live. #TheGhostOfKyiv pic.twitter.com/kCwex8o0lP

More rooted in solid ground, the story of theukrainian reaper (the Ukrainian reaper)! The soldier would have already done 20 victims among the members of the Russian army all by itself and in two days. An alleged photo of this fighter even circulates on social networks which praise his bravery.
Tea #ukrainianreaper has a record 20 Russian kills in 2 days. #Russia fucked up. #KyivNow pic.twitter.com/sj63QMgePG

But the one who is most glorified for his courage and of whom we have the certainty that he exists, it is indeed Volodymyr Zelensky. Ukrainian President continues to stand up to Vladimir Putin, uncovering himself a true power of unifier and warlord. All over the web, publications praise his strength of character and his effective way of galvanizing the collective Ukrainian effort to repel those who want to attack his land. A surprising role for this former actor who won the Ukrainian version of Dance with the stars in 2006…
The Tsar may win the war from the comfort of his palace, but #VolodymyrZelensky shows him the true meaning of patriotism on the pitch. #UkraineUnderAttack #Ukraine pic.twitter.com/uSlciHOonC

It seems to me that we are witnessing the appearance of a hero, the hero of a people, of a nation that is Ukraine, a hero of the resistance. VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY.

Meanwhile, Russia continues to welcome sanctions with, among other things on the media side, the blocking of the Russia Today TV channel or the Sputnik news site all over the world. Even Apple announced that it was stopping the sale of its products on Russian territory. Suffice to say that even if the war itself has not yet decided its winner, that of Internet support has been largely won by Ukraine. Even the simpsons are behind the country. That is to say.
