Earlier today it was announced that T-Mobile and its sub-brands do not charge for calling and texting to and from Ukraine. KPN now follows.

KPN on mobile use in Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine is worrying. At the end of the afternoon we wrote that you can call and send text messages to and from Ukraine for free with T-Mobile, Tele2, Ben and Simpel. In this way, people should always be able to stay in touch with loved ones. It has now been announced that KPN has taken a similar measure. In any case, it will not charge for calls and texts to and from Ukraine until the end of March. KPN customers can use mobile internet free of charge without worrying about costs.

The green-colored provider says the following about this;

The situation in Ukraine 🇺🇦 is close to our hearts. That is why we do not charge any costs for mobile (calls and SMS) and fixed calls to Ukraine until at least the end of March. This applies to our consumers and business customers. We also make roaming (calls, data and SMS) free of charge for our customers who are in Ukraine.

Update 22:00: Vodafone also sent out a message tonight:

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the war in Ukraine. Due to the dire situation, we are now offering all Vodafone customers free mobile calls and texts from the Netherlands to Ukraine and vice versa for at least the next two weeks. We also offer free data for customers in Ukraine. This applies to both consumers and business customers.
