Horizon Forbidden West: Graphic comparison is amazing
To get straight to the point: Horizon Forbidden West looks smoother and higher resolution on the PlayStation 5 – how could it be otherwise. Nevertheless, it turns out that even the basic version of the PlayStation 4 more than just keep up can. Apparently, the developers have really worked hard and squeezed the last bit of performance out of the console, which is now a few years old.

That the PS4 version even keep up with the basic model can is impressive. But it is also clear that the PlayStation 5 naturally offers more than just better graphics performance. Just because Horizon Forbidden West doesn’t make a bad impression on PS4 doesn’t make the console any more future-proof. The more extensive hardware of the PS5 is also noticeable in comparison with shorter loading times.
Horizon Forbidden West: PS4 version is worth it
PlayStation 5 owners shouldn’t blindly grab the PS5 version of the game. The PS4 variant costs only 69.99 instead of 79.99 euros – although the PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West provided as a free upgrade will. So there is no disadvantage and 10 euros can easily be saved.
