As every year, Steam users have decided on the most popular games in several categories, some of which are fairly classic, while others are a bit playful, as is typical for this award. The game of the year and the absolute winner was the survival horror film Resident Evil Village by Capcom. Resident Evil defeated Valheim, New World, Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 5.

VR game of the year players chose Cooking Simulator VR. He surpassed the actions of Sniper Elite VR and Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, the logical I Expect You To Die 2 and the horror film Blair Witch VR. According to Steam users, Terraria became an immortal game, surpassing Dota 2, Rust, No Man’s Sky and Apex Legends. In the Best with Friends category, ie multiplayer titles, the cooperation It Takes Two won. Defeated Valheim, Back 4 Blood, Halo Infinite and Crab Game.

Forza, Deathloop and the Rangers of the Galaxy

The Best Visual Style category was dominated by Forza Horizon 5, for which the titles Psychonauts 2, Subnautica: Below Zero, Little Nightmares II and Bright Memory: Infinite were not enough. Deathloop is supposed to have the most innovative gameplay. Defeated Inscryption, Twelve Minutes, Moncage and Loop Hero. The best game you can’t do is the award a little more playful. The winner here was Nioh 2. World War Z: Aftermath, Naraka: Bladepoint, Age of Empires IV and Battlefield 2042 had to bow before him.
