EA is changing the way loot boxes work in the FIFA Ultimate Team -apkrig

In the latest year of the FIFA series, a special FUTball festival is taking place from 18 June to 16 July. Regardless wittily the naming is most likely a turning point event that can change the way loot boxes work not only in the FIFA series, but also in other sports games offered by the Ultimate Team mode. EA developers have decided not to go “head against the wall” and meet the requirements of large opponents of loot boxes, which include the countries of some countries. Therefore, they removed that element of chance from the packs of football players’ cards and let the player look at all the content freely before they decide to buy it for real or play money. But everything has its hook, and it must be acknowledged that the person responsible for the new mechanism definitely knows what he is doing.

First of all, the so-called Preview option should – at least for the time being – only apply during the above-mentioned period of the FUTball festival. On the other hand, it applies to all packages that can be purchased through the FUT Store, regardless of their price or rarity. It is also not known whether this is just a test by the developers, or a unique action that does not have to be repeated, but we would bet on the first option. We would not be surprised if the mechanism was used in the next year of the series, or all relevant sports series, and the competition could adopt it in the future. The devil is hidden in the rules for opening packages, even though there are actually only a handful of them.

At first glance, everything makes absolute sense – in the store where you would before blindly they bought a package with cards and then opened it, you will find the mentioned “preview” button instead of the option to buy. This activates the old familiar animation, in which the best card from the deck is presented accompanied by confetti and fanfare, and then the entire content is displayed in the next menu. But this time, you can rattle with virtual or real money only after this ceremony is over, so you can buy exactly what you see without risk. If you decide to spend your money, you will find another package for inspection in the store and you can buy this way without any restrictions. But Electronic Arts is proving that they really care about their customers’ money, and if you don’t decide to move the revealed content to your inventory through a transaction, you can watch it for a limited time until it’s replaced by another package.

It is unlikely that the legislation of the countries that have criticized the mechanism would be against the time limit, regardless of the fact that even the newly introduced way of spending money encourages it.

A slightly bitter joke is that the rotation of the packages takes place after 24 hours, during which there is only one other way to get to a new package of the same level, to buy it. So, without the content being advantageous for you with regard to the footballers and other cards represented, it is a very strong motivating element for why to do so repeatedly and the end of the accusation for Electronic Arts that loot boxes are in their presentation of variations on gambling. It is unlikely that the legislation of the countries that have criticized the mechanism would be against the time limit, regardless of the fact that even the newly introduced method of spending money encourages it. Not a handful of exceptions that do not burden with a time lock and necessity preview the contents before purchasing. They relate, for example, to packages that a player receives for completing one of the tasks within the FUT and time- or piece-limited packages that would still appear in the game and have nothing to do with the festival or the described changes.
