The latest Arcep report once again devotes Orange to the quality of its mobile network. For the eleventh consecutive year, the operator outclasses the competition whether in 4G or 5G.
The French telecommunications gendarme has just unveiled his latest report for the year 2021. The first conclusion to be drawn is an improvement in the quality of service for all types of use. For the first time, Arcep is also taking the 5G offer into account in its report. For all types of use, whether in 4G or 5G, Orange is the leader in 366 out of 406 criteria.
Orange confirms the quality of its 5G, Free remains last
Within the measurements carried out by Arcep, the different zones on the territory are divided. Dense, intermediate, rural and tourist areas are taken into account by the telecommunications gendarme. One of the lessons to be learned is that Orange remains the leader in each of these categories in terms of service quality. Whether in 4G or 5G, the mobile operator dominates each of its competitors. It is then Bouygues Telecom, SFR and Free Mobile in order of quality. The graph below groups together all the data displayed by the telecommunications gendarme.
Within a few data, web browsing in large cities is constantly increasing. In 98% of cases, Orange can display pages in less than 5 seconds. In terms of speeds on 5G, the company headed by Stéphane Richard dominates the debates with an average speed going down to 142 Mbit / s throughout France. Next comes SFR with an average of 84 Mbit / s, Bouygues Telecom has an average of 71 Mbit / s and finally Free Mobile at 31 Mbit / s. If the quality is at the rendezvous, Arcep nevertheless notes a few areas for improvement on the mobile network in France.
