Mam’route – Preservation of the environment
Indispensable tool if you wish to act in favor of the preservation of the environment, this application will allow you to take part in the census of mammals victims of the road and thus enrich the first inventory of road mortality of the North West quarter of France. This inventory will then make it possible to propose concrete and relevant solutions to reduce the black spots of wildlife / road collisions.
Mam’route is part of an ambitious program carried out in Normandy by the Normand Mammalog Group, an association for the study and protection of wild mammals in Normandy. The application can also be used in the Breton (for the Breton Mammalogical Group) and Picardy (for Picardie Nature) territories.
Fun and accessible to all, the application offers two modes of use depending on the naturalistic skills of the observers:
Consumer fashion:
– You are able to recognize most of the common mammals in our regions.
– The observations are transmitted directly to the Normand Mammalogical Group.
– Expert mode:
– Naturally trained, you know and recognize all the species of wild mammals likely to be observed in the region.
– You control the mode of transmission of your observations by choosing to transmit your data directly or not to the Normand Mammalogical Group.
You can also send photos of animals discovered along the road network (regardless of the mode used) as well as provide text comments that will be associated with your observation (for expert mode).
In the species catalog, you will find the species sheets, useful support for training and information on observable species:
– ID photo
– Morphology
– Ecology
