Xiaomi is preparing 14 new smartphones. We know their names and types of processors
Company Xiaomi is preparing at least 14 new smartphones, whose names, code designations and chipsets have now been published by the portal XiaomiAdictos.
Three models with Snapdragon 898
The upcoming smartphones were discovered in the MIUI community portal extension code XIAOMIUI. The most equipped model should be the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which also reveals its code name ZEUS. It should use the upcoming flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset, which will be introduced on November 30.
The same chipset will be used by its basic version Xiaomi 12 with the code name CUPID, which the manufacturer will present before the PRO model at the turn of December and January. Snapdragon 898 should later get the Redmi K50 Pro model codenamed INGRES.
Xiaomi is also preparing cheaper smartphones
The Xiaomi 12 series should also offer cheaper models with the Snapdragon 870+ and Snapdragon 778. The latter chipset will be used by the Xiaomi 12 Lite and 12 Lite Zoom smartphones. The Redmi K50 series will then offer models with the Snapdragon 870+ and the new MediaTek Dimensity 2000 chipset, which recently surpassed the one-point mark in the AnTuT benchmark.
The code also revealed five other upcoming lower-end smartphones. Redmi Note 11 JE is to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ and the global version of Redmi Note 11 unknown chipset from MediaTek. The chipsets from Qualcomm and MediaTek will also be deployed in the remaining three smartphones, but their names have not been revealed.
