New classy keyboard and mouse for the office presented
A little over a year after the presentation of the first pro input device for the office (test) from Razer, the gaming specialist is stepping up: According to the manufacturer, the new Pro-Type keyboard and Pro-Click mouse are wireless connectivity with several Devices, a longer battery life and a quieter sound profile. In combination with a robust design, the input devices are ideal for working in the home office, on the go or in the classic office, according to Razer.
As the name of the new mouse generation “Pro Click Mini” suggests, the new model is slimmer and more compact than the 2020 model, so that it can easily be carried in a bag, suitcase or backpack for use on the go. But the mouse is also designed for use on the desk.
According to Razer, the Pro Click Mini has quiet, tactile switches that are designed for up to 15 million clicks. In addition, the noise development is low, so that distraction-free work is possible in any situation, the manufacturer assures.
The mouse can be connected to up to three devices via Bluetooth. If that is not enough, a fourth can be integrated via a 2.4 gigahertz dongle. The device can be changed without re-pairing.
Razer uses the “Razer 5G Advanced” optical sensor as the heart of the Pro Click Mini, which allows precise control and increases “efficiency in tasks”. According to Razer, the new scroll wheel can toggle between the modes “Free-Spin” and “Tactile Scrolling”, thus enabling quick and “easy navigation in large documents and websites, while the four-way tilt-and-click function enables simple horizontal scrolling and moving “. The mouse also has seven fully programmable buttons. Razer speaks of the runtime of the mouse of up to 725 hours with Bluetooth and up to 465 hours with 2.4 GHz connection.
Razer has “refined” the new generation of the Pro-Type keyboard with backlighting through community feedback. Thanks to its noiseless mechanical switches, the keyboard provides “a quieter and more luxurious typing experience”. It is also provided with a soft-touch coating for greater writing comfort and designed for up to 80 million keystrokes. A soft wrist rest made of synthetic leather offers additional support and relieves the wrists.
The keyboard also supports connections of up to four devices, between which you can switch with a single keystroke. It has a battery life of over 200 hours and is charged via cable. In terms of battery life, the keyboard should last up to 214 hours (without backlight) with Bluetooth and 207 hours with a 2.4 GHz dongle. The Pro Type Ultra only lasted up to 13 hours with a lit keyboard at full brightness. Both products are controlled by Razer’s Synapse 3 software, which is only available for Windows computers.
The new office accessories are rounded off with Razer’s Pro Glide XXL mat, which with its dimensions of 940 by 410 by 3 millimeters is wider than the previous version and supports precise mouse tracking.
According to Razer, the mouse and mat are available now and cost 89.99 and 34.99 euros, respectively. The new keyboard costs 169.99 euros and should be available in the fourth quarter of 2021.
