We had the privilege of testing Android 12 in beta for a few months, but we were waiting for the deployment of the final version to make a little video. Google obliges, this new OS has started its adventure on the Pixel range devices (from 3 to 6 and 6 Pro where Android is already pre-installed). In the coming weeks it will be the turn of recent and high-end devices from Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, Honor, Vivo, Asus, Xiaomi, Sony, Nokia and Motorola, although older and less “Premium” smartphones will also have the right to their version 12. We know for example that at Xiaomi, the Redmi and POCO ranges will be embarked on the adventure, but only from 2022.

In this video we will see 5 main features of Android 12:

• In Settings>Wallpaper and style we will find the “Material You” feature which allows you to change the color of the menus according to your wallpaper. Absolutely unnecessary and therefore essential.
• In the widgets, we will find the option Conversation to place the shortcut of a conversation (SMS, messaging) on ​​the home screen.
• The Scrolling screenshot will not only record an image of the content of your screen, but also the hidden part to capture the entire app for example.
• In Android 12 you can see at a glance if the microphone and the camera are working thanks to a green dot at the top right of the screen (a bit like with the Access Dots app). It is even possible to deactivate these organs at your convenience if you are afraid of being spied on or overheard.
• Finally, the Privacy dashboard that we find in Settings>Confidentiality allows you to see which apps have used which permissions in the last 24 hours.
