The duel between Call of Duty and Battlefield will take on another dimension on Thursday. It will be a direct race. The developers of both games planned to unveil new content at the same time. DICE will introduce the Hazard Zone mode at 5 pm. We will see a trailer for this mode, which should be significantly different from what the classic Battlefield modes offer.
Unofficial information has appeared in the past that the Hazard Zone is to be inspired by Escape from Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown. Players have to fight the AI with each other and try to reach the point of collection without losing the accumulated loot. The Hazard Zone does not have exclusive maps, it seems, but use some others from the BF2042. One of those supported is said to be Orbital, which we tried in beta. There is even more speculation on the account of the new mode, but since we will be clear tomorrow, it probably no longer makes sense to prophesy from a crystal ball.
As already mentioned, at the same time as DICE will present the Hazard Zone, Activision will focus on the zombies in Call of Duty: Vanguard, again at 5 pm. Although the development of Vanguard is led by developers from the Sledgehammer Games team, this mode is created primarily in the Treyarch studio. In addition, it is supposed to be somehow connected to the zombies in Black Ops Cold War and their story.
But if this novelty in the Call of Duty presentation is not enough for you, Activision will probably present a new anti-cheat system for Warzone today. It should be launched later this year with a new map inspired by World War II and Vanguard. Its development leads the Raven Software team to change, but the system as such could also be reflected in Call of Duty: Vanguard. At the same time, it struggled with the problems of the fair play parties already during the beta. And Warzone fights the cheaters constantly. Perhaps the authors will be able to regain dominance in this field.
