Level up quickly with our leveling guide (Resurrected)

To reach the maximum level 99 in Diablo 2: Resurrected, well over 100 hours of play are necessary. Our guide will tell you how you can level up particularly quickly.

The Ladder Seasons of Diablo 2: Resurrected is all about hitting the maximum level of 99 as quickly as possible. However, not all activities and zones in the game give the same amount of experience points. If you want to level efficiently, you have to be very disciplined.

Basically: Mainly focuses on Champion Packs (Blue Names) and Boss Groups (Golden Names). These give the most experience points. In addition, it is crucial when leveling whether you are in multiplayer or offline single player.

Level up quickly in multiplayer

In Diablo 2: Resurrected you can play in groups of up to 8 people. To level up as quickly as possible, you should be in a full group whenever possible. The more players in the group, the more experience points you can earn. Conversely but also increase the life points and the damage of the opponent.

Number of players HP Bonus damage Experience points
1 100% 00.00% 100%
2 150% 06.25% 150%
3rd 200% 12.50% 200%
4th 250% 18.75% 250%
5 300% 25.00% 300%
6th 350% 31.25% 350%
7th 400% 37.50% 400%
8th 450% 43.75% 450%

Level up quickly in the offline single player (PC only)

If you are out and about in single player, you can still benefit from the increased number of players. However, this method only works on the PC.

Open the console with the Enter key and give / players X a. In this case, you replace the X with the desired number of players, as a number between 1 and 8.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Player Command
On the PC you can adjust the number of players in Diablo 2: Resurrected to your level.

This means that you can also benefit from a considerable EXP bonus in single player. However, you should only increase the number of players if you can defeat the stronger monsters without any problems. In the long run, it is much more effective to defeat a lot of monsters in a short period of time instead of lingering on a few strong monsters for a long time.

In this way, you also avoid dying recklessly. On the nightmare difficulty level, you lose 5% of your experience points each time you die. In hell this penalty increases to 10%. So only farm areas where there is little danger to your character.

This is where you level the fastest

Where you can level the fastest in Diablo 2: Resurrected, depends mainly on your own level. If you are traveling in areas that are too low or high level for you, you will not receive the full number of experience points. In the following areas you can however, always earn as many experience points as possible:

  • Level 1 – 15: Tristram. Travel to the Field of Stones in Act 1 and step through the portal to Tristram. There are a lot of champion packs and bosses waiting for you there.
  • Level 15 – 24: In Act 2, travel to the Mage’s Canyon and farm all the graves. You don’t have to defeat Duriel.
  • Level 24: Complete the initiation rite by defeating the ancestors on the summit of Arreat.
  • Level 25 – 40: Defeat Diablo and Baal until they are at least level 40.
  • Level 40: Repeat the battle against the ancestors on Mount Arreat on Nightmare Difficulty.
  • Level 41-60: Defeat Diablo and Baal on Nightmare Difficulty until you reach at least level 60.
  • Level 60: Repeat the initiation rite a third time on Hell difficulty.
  • Level 61-99: Defeat Diablo and Baal on Hell’s hardest difficulty.

You don’t necessarily have to go to the next level phase as quickly as possible. Instead, it never hurts to survive. At level 60, the Hell difficulty level can be a real challenge. In this case, you can simply continue to fight Baal on nightmare up to level 70 or higher.

The fight against the ancestors can also be extremely demanding at levels 40 and 60, so if in doubt, return later at a higher level.
