After yesterday’s leak, the developers of Vortex are already attracting Call of Duty
Yesterday morning was marked by the first specific information about Call of Duty. Although the promo images, logo and confirmation of the Call of Duty: Vanguard name did not come directly from the developers, over the past day, all media have treated the information as completely authentic, so there is probably no reason to remain cautious. The new episode, behind which the Sledgehammer Games studio is behind, will be set in the Second World War, as expected for many months, we will look at Europe and the Pacific, we can look forward to open beta, at least three operators or wild skins for weapons. And if you’ve had some slight doubts so far, you can put them aside as well – the developers, together with Activision representatives, have decided to react to Thursday’s leak and have already begun to entice the game with short videos.
The first of them appeared directly on the official accounts of the Call of Duty series – Activision makes fun of yesterday’s events and, in a short clip in which it is possible to see a burning European city, does not spare the words “leaks” and “speculation”. The account administrator then reacts to his own tweet a little unexpectedly vulgarly: “And damn it, moment,” which did not meet with 100% understanding, but even critical comments with requests for deletion are reacted negatively by the admin. The developer’s account from the Sledgehammer Games studio also contributed a bit, responding with a joke about the unstoppable leakage water with a meme from the tape ad, which fans appreciated, but basically they immediately started asking whether the developers finally decided to announce it and answer the burning questions in an official way. In this regard, we will probably have to wait until the end of next week – specifically Thursday, August 19 – when the revelations are predicted by insiders, including Tom Henderson, who has repeatedly provided credible information not only about Call of Duty but also about Battlefield.
However, the attention quickly turned to the first real teaser, which began to be shared by influencers from the ranks of streamers and YouTubers. One of them was, for example, Jon “MrDalekJD” Hutchinson, who made a short clip received from the developers Call of Duty. The video, which has already garnered over 130,000 views on Twitter, captures the Western Front, according to Hutchinson, and from a few quick shots you can read a handful of details. First of all, it may be the name of the town of Merville in France, where during June 6, 1944 there was an attack on German bunkers shelling Sword Beach. The British landed on it, which is linked to another link, namely the emblem of the Special Forces Task Force 141. If you are well versed in the Call of Duty lora, then you have probably realized that it was a member of Captain Price’s first iteration, and is therefore likely to see him in the game. When it comes to weapons, you may be interested in the British Sten submachine gun and also the German hand grenade. A shabby sign with the words Achtung! and also the name of an unknown sergeant Kingsley.
The videos above are then linked to yesterday’s material, and we’ll be watching what’s next in the coming days. We can expect a speculated event in the battle royale mode of Warzone, which is to be linked to Call of Duty: Vanguard more closely and probably faster than it did in the case of Black Ops Cold War, but even here we still do not operate with confirmed information. However, since the developers have started releasing teasers themselves, we would not be surprised if the discovery was finally made before Thursday, but there is nothing left but to wait.
