easily share your screenshot with others via Loom

With Loom: Screen Recording & Video you can save your screen recordings that you can instantly share as a video with someone. In the article you will find out how easily this app works.

Loom: easy to share screenshots

Loom has been around as a Chrome extension for a while and we make frequent use of it in the Androidworld editors. With Loom you can record your webcam, microphone and desktop at the same time and share the screencast immediately. For example, you can use the tool to explain a piece of software or to record an instruction. This can come in handy in the classroom, for example.

Once you have captured a screen shot, it will be saved in folders, after which you can edit (trim) or share the recording. You can pause a recording in between or click away the webcam and use the countdown option to see when exactly the recording starts. The tool is free to use up to 100 videos and screenshots and your screencasts are stored in the cloud. After a certain number of uploads you have to purchase a subscription but you can also delete some of your videos.

Loom for Android

Loom is also available for Android. The Loom team wants to bring the convenience of their screen recording tool to Android. So do you want to record a bug, make a demo or show an idea to your team? So, with Loom for Android, you can easily get your message across by creating a screencast and sharing it instantly.

If you press the record button in the app, you will see roughly the same navigation bar as on desktop, but from the notification panel on your Android. You can only record your screen or your screen and your camera so that you come into the picture and can explain the video. After that, the countdown option kicks in and you can start. In between, you can still turn off the camera if you wish. Tapping stop will upload the screenshot and you’ll see it appear in the app alongside the other screencasts you’ve made with Loom. You can still change the title or delete the recording. Other options such as trimming the video are not yet available in the app. In the video below, Loom explains exactly how their Android app works.
