Huawei introduced two new models at its event today, namely the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro. Both devices come with IP68 water resistance certification and 66 W cable charging. The P50 series is also the first to run on the company’s own operating system – HarmonyOS 2.0.

Today, the company introduced exclusively 4G models, which are powered by the 4G version of the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. Unfortunately, these will not be available in Slovakia, but Huawei should also introduce models with 5G support in the near future, which will also come to us. However, you do not have to worry about losing anything, except for the chipset, they should have a very similar set of specifications.

Huawei P50

The P50 offers a 6.5 ″ OLED display with FHD + resolution, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch sampling frequency of 300 Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor in the 4G version, which adds 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded, but only up to 256 GB. The endurance is taken care of by a 4,100 mAh battery that supports 66 W fast cable charging, but lacks the support for wireless charging.

The back is dominated by a triple camera, which consists of a 50 MP main, 13 MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 12 MP telephoto lens with OIS stabilization. The device will support 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. On its front side there is a 13 MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

The front of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone is dominated by a large, 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Its refresh rate is an extremely smooth 120 Hz, maximum brightness reaches up to 1500 nits and there must be support for HDR10 + video playback. The screen has a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, which gives us an extra fine resolution of 515 pixels per inch. The entire display is protected by a durable Corning Gorilla Glass Victus glass.

In our region, the device is powered by an Exynos 2100 processor, manufactured using 5 nm technology. It seconds 12 GB – 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of internal user data storage. The integrated battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and is charged with the maximum possible power of 25 W. Charging is also possible wirelessly, also in reverse. Finally, we will also mention the resistance to water and dust according to IP68 certification or stereo speakers, which will definitely not disappoint.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max

For those who would prefer iOS more than an alternative to Android from Huawei, the iPhone 12 Pro Max may be a capable candidate to buy in front of a smartphone from the Huawei P50 series. This is currently the best iPhone to sell.

It has a great, flat Super Retina XDR OLED display with a diagonal of 6.7 inches. The resolution of the panel is 1284 x 2778 pixels, which gives us a final fineness of 458 pixels per inch. The brightness reaches 800 – 1200 rivets and you can also watch HDR videos on this display, thanks to the support of the HDR10 standard. Power is provided by a 5 nm processor of Apple’s own A14 Bionic. You can choose from memory versions with 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage, with each version having 6 GB of RAM.

Cameras do not bring any amazing value, but the main thing is that they excel in practice. All sensors have 12 MP. The primary camera is great and competes with the best. The telephoto lens has a 2.5x optical zoom and an ultra wide-angle sensor in optimal light stands. The battery offers a relatively lower capacity, only 3687 mAh, but it can conjure up great endurance on a single charge with a maximum power of 20 W. It is also possible to charge wirelessly with a power of 15 W, thanks to Qi technology. The icing on the cake is the durable IP68 protection, which is fortunately slow but certainly a matter of course in the case of the top flagships. You won’t be fooled by great and loud stereo speakers.

OnePlus 9 Pro

As the last flagship, which belongs to the best of the best, here we have the OnePlus 9 Pro. With this model, OnePlus focused on cameras that were supposed to be better than last year’s models. This was to be guaranteed by the cooperation with Hasselblad, which is known for its excellent cameras. The main 48 MP sensor is complemented by an 8 MP telephoto lens, a 2 MP depth sensor and a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor, which are among the best on the market. Not even a 16 MP selfie camera will be ashamed.

OnePlus 9 Pro

What OnePlus still excelled at did not change with this model either. The OnePlus 9 Pro offers first-class performance, and the OxygenOS add-on offers a great user experience. Snapdragon 888, 8-12 GB of RAM and 120 Hz LTPO Fluid2 AMOLED display will ensure that this device will serve you for a long time without cutting.

The battery capacity is 4,500 mAh, which breaks no records, but the 65 W cable charging it supports can already be said. Thanks to it, the battery is charged from 0 to 100% in just 29 minutes. The wireless charging, which supports a maximum power of 50 W, does not lag behind in speed either.
