Possible Samsung Galaxy S10 unveiling mid-February

The unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S10 may be a little earlier than expected. New sources speak of an announcement mid-February, at an event in San Francisco.

Possible Samsung Galaxy S10 unveiling before

Sources previously spoke about an announcement on February 20 but The Korea Herald suggests that the event may take place a little earlier. According to the generally reliable business newspaper, the smartphone is presented one week before the Mobile World Congress, in San Francisco. That fair will take place from February 25 in Barcelona, so the S10 announcement may already be on February 18.

Probably the final date is confirmed by Samsung. After all, the disclosure is already about a month. The release is not much later: the Galaxy S10 is expected to be available from the beginning of March. Sources claim that the manufacturer has at least three variants in development: the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus and a cheaper, smaller Galaxy S10 Lite.

In previous years, Samsung presented its new top device at the Mobile World Congress. However, Samsung deliberately opts for an earlier announcement this year, in order to get rid of the competition too quickly. The Korea Herald claims that major rival Huawei presents a folding smartphone in Barcelona, and Samsung would like to reveal its version earlier at any cost.

This is new on the Samsung Galaxy S10

In the past few days many pictures and images of the Galaxy S10 have already surfaced. This way we know that the device gets a larger screen with thinner edges. To make a front-loading screen possible, the selfie camera is embedded in a hole in the screen. The regular S10 has a single front camera, the S10 Plus has two camera lenses at the front.

At the back of the S10 is a triple camera, which makes better pictures than its predecessor. Furthermore, the flagship is equipped with a fingerprint scanner in the screen, more powerful hardware, Android Pie with the OneUI interface and improved facial recognition.
