Tears of the Kingdom” on its head
The search for glitches is probably almost as old as the video game medium itself. Even in the first games, gamers tried to find the weak points. It’s about manipulating the game, but in a constructive way that’s only possible in this medium.
This is what happened with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. according to the Colleagues from The Verge Since May 12th, an international group of “glitch hunters” has been working to brush the latest “Zelda” adventure against the crest. “Being able to expand a game in ways that not even the developers could have imagined is really fun,” one of the glitch seekers is quoted as saying.
But finding the glitches can be quite tedious. Gamers often try to break through walls, drop items in certain places or throw themselves into abysses, only to rarely find a weak point in the game. Then, for example, obstacles are overcome in order to get to areas of a game that are actually not supposed to be reached yet.
A large area of application of glitch search is therefore also that so-called speed running. The aim is to complete a game in the shortest possible time. Admittedly not in the way that the developers intended, but through a series of many glitches that can be used to simply skip large parts of a game.

But these glitches can also be a real benefit for “normal” gamers. For example, there are ways to duplicate items or prevent damage if you fall from a great height. There are a number of videos on YouTube and other platforms for almost all games where these finds are shared.
For The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Glitch Hunters have direct compiled a detailed table, where you can find all sorts of useful glitches. You will see a description of how to perform the glitch, often with a video that shows exactly how to do it. Almost 70 glitches are currently listed there. However, the list should be continuously updated. So it can be worth checking back for updates from time to time.
The table also shows impressively what is possible with video games. Because despite the most thorough testing, it will never be possible for gaming studios to release a completely bug-free game. There will always be a loophole somewhere that gamers slip through – and sometimes they find something really useful behind it.
