Real Gooische mother Pauline: ‘There is a fear somewhere that it would be another stillbirth or miscarriage’
In the fourth episode of Real Gooische Mothers the ladies go to Ameland. There – in addition to playing golf, drinks on the terrace and the bike ride to a lighthouse – they have a deep conversation about possible family expansion and the death of Belle, the daughter of Pauline Wingelaar (36).
Despite the fact that the Gooische mothers are only away for a weekend, the children are missed from minute one. To compensate for the lack a little, they are talked about a lot. Also during a dinner in an expensive restaurant where Kimberly says that they are slowly working on having another little one.
Eternal sin
Kimberley isn’t the only one hoping for a family expansion. Pauline also says that after the death of her daughter Belle, she would like to become a mother again: “I notice that I talk about her more and more easily, but it remains a shame forever. I still have so much love to give.”

Pauline and her husband, Harmen, are positive about a possible family expansion. One of their sons is not (yet) very enthusiastic about this, she says: “He literally said that he doesn’t feel like a baby’s bullshit.” And Pauline understands that. “Belle has of course brought nothing in his eyes. First I had a lot of pain during pregnancy, then my waters broke and then there was a lot of sadness because of the loss.”
Fear
When asked if Pauline would like to get pregnant again, she replies: “You know how much I would like it, but there is a fear somewhere that it would be another stillbirth or miscarriage.”
