HTC officially announces its mid-range device HTC U23 Pro
HTC has announced its HTC U23 Pro. This phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and is therefore not a high-end device: it is a midranger for 569 euros.

HTC U23 Pro
A surprise from HTC on this Ascension Day, because it comes with the announcement of its new device HTC U23 Pro. The HTC U23 Pro is a standalone device: there is no HTC U23. The brand immediately goes Pro with a phone that has a 6.7 inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The aspect ratio is 20:9 and has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. In terms of dimensions, the device is 166.6 x 77.1 x 6.7 millimeters.
In terms of cameras, you can count on a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro camera and another 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera has 32 megapixels and all in all this makes this a phone with a fairly impressive camera setup, although the software behind the cameras has to prove whether they can get the most out of them.
gimmicks
The device is available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and there are no other choices to be made. You can expand the memory with a microSD card. The battery is 4600 mAh and can be charged with 30 Watts on the cable and with 15 Watts wirelessly.
HTC’s previous devices all had a gimmick: think of virtual reality options or opportunities to trade crypto coins. Or at least: the focus on it. It does not seem as yet that HTC U23 Pro also has such a gimmick.

Price and availability
HTC U23 Pro can be ordered for a suggested retail price of 569 euros in the colors Coffee Black (black) and Snow White (white). The device will be available from June 5.
