Genshin Impact: Open the gate

During the long quest chain “Khvarena of Good and Evil” in Genshin Impact you will also have to complete the quest “Light of Khvarena”. This is also right long and consists of several subtasks. One difficulty with this quest is a puzzle that requires you to open the gate to a ruin. We explain the solution in this short guide.

Solve all gear puzzles

As previously mentioned, the Light of Khvarena world quest consists of three split quests that require you to collect Hymns of Khvarena. While the first two anthems are easy to find, the quest “Light of Khvarena – Nirodha” takes much longer. Here you have to explore a ruin and, among other things, master gear puzzles, the solutions of which we will show you below.

1. Rune Device: Open the gate to the ruin

Before you can enter the ruins, you must correctly select the symbols on the three gears to open the gate. Nasejuna gives you the following tip: “Turn the gears until three types of runes are displayed. Connects the rectangle to the triangle below without changing the triangle below.”

2.Rune Device: Return to the Control Center

After finding the energy block in the ruins, you will find another gate with a gear puzzle on your way back to the control center. The solution is written on the wall. However, all symbols only become visible for a short time when the green light flies by.

Connect the circuit

In the further course you have to solve some circuit puzzles. You have to turn the so-called “mixer” and pass on the current flow correctly. The puzzles aren’t particularly difficult, but some mixers and contraptions are coated in gray crystals. In order for the current to flow, you must remove the gray crystal. Farrwicks do that for you, which you have to look for in the ruins. It is important to know that you can also place a collected Farrwick in a different position. On PC you have to press “T” and on PlayStation L1 + square.

3. Rune Device: Activate the Central Controller

Near the end of the quest, you need to activate the central controller by setting the correct icons again. However, there are now three rune devices and the correct combination of symbols must appear on each of the three sides. But you don’t have to use every device, you can solve the puzzle from one. For example, enter the following combination correctly for the device in the middle:
