Unihertz’s Jelly 2 is the smallest Android device (hands-on)
The Mobile World Congress is full of devices and products. We stumbled upon Unihertz’s stand. They have the smallest 4G smartphone with Android.
Smallest smartphone with 4G
We are in a time where smartphones are still getting bigger and bigger. However, not all manufacturers approach this in the same way. We also see smaller devices. The Chinese Unihertz also has a stand at the MWC in Barcelona and shows its entire portfolio there. We come across the Jelly 2. The smallest 4G smartphone in existence. The manufacturer describes the device as a credit card sized phone.
In terms of possibilities, the Jelly 2 is equipped with the necessary things. For example, there is an infrared sensor that you can use to operate your TV or air conditioner, for example. There is dual SIM support and there is even a fingerprint scanner on the back. Remarkable; the phone runs on Android 11, and the employees at the stand informed us that there is no Android update coming. Security updates will be rolled out as long as possible, although that should say enough.
You can take photos with the 16MP camera on the back or 8MP camera on the front. The device is also equipped with a 2000 mAh battery and offers a bare version of Android. The device feels very compact, and given the reviews at Amazon, it certainly doesn’t have to be a bad choice. If you do not have too many requirements, then it is not very slow and therefore pleasant to use.
Interesting? You can buy the Unihertz Jelly 2 for about 200 euros at Amazon.
