DAZN has drastically increased its prices over the past year. But: What will a DAZN subscription cost in 2023? And: What content does Sky’s sports streaming service offer? These are the costs for a DAZN subscription at a glance.
The sports streaming service DAZN has massively increased its prices in the past year – almost doubling. But what initially only applied to new customers has also affected existing customers since August 2022. Since then, all users have had to pay EUR 29.99 instead of EUR 14.99 for the monthly cancellable DAZN subscription.
DAZN costs: How expensive is a DAZN subscription?
This recently called the Federation of Consumer Organizations (VZBV) onto the scene, which considers the price increase for existing customers to be illegal. The reason is therefore the price increase clause in the DAZN contracts, which is opaque and therefore ineffective.
The VZBV is therefore looking for those affected in order to start a class action lawsuit. This way they should get their money back. But while it is still unclear whether the initiative will be successful, DAZN recently increased its prices again. This is from a new one Subscription Guide of the company.
In it, the sports streaming service presents a new tariff model. New customers can therefore choose from five different packages. These in turn are based on three different subscription models that can be canceled on a monthly basis. There is also the option of taking out two of the three tariffs as an annual subscription.

How much does DAZN cost?
In order to keep track of the price jungle and the scope of the DAZN subscriptions, we have created a corresponding overview. Unlike the Sky streaming service WOW, for example, DAZN is aimed exclusively at sports fans. According to DAZN, the so-called world subscription includes top international sports “such as football, handball, darts and more”.
Meanwhile, subscribers to the standard package can watch “Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, NFL, NBA and much more”. However, the subscription only includes the Friday and Sunday Bundesliga games, as DAZN only holds part of the rights.
All Saturday games in the Bundesliga run on the Sky streaming service WOW. The DAZN Unlimited subscription in turn includes both the World and the Standard package on up to six registered devices.
This is how much a DAZN subscription will cost in 2023
- DAZN standard subscription: From EUR 29.99 per month on up to six registered devices (two parallel streams possible).
- DAZN Unlimited subscription: From EUR 24.99 per month on up to three registered devices (no parallel streaming).
- DAZN World subscription: EUR 9.99 per month on up to three registered devices (no parallel streaming).
The above prices for the Unlimited and Standard subscriptions only apply to annual subscriptions. As a subscription that can be canceled monthly, the standard package costs EUR 29.99 and the unlimited package costs EUR 39.99.
According to DAZN However, the new tariffs and prices only apply to new customers. Nothing would change for existing customers as long as they keep their previous subscription active. You would automatically get the DAZN Unlimited package.
