do you only take pictures with your phone?

The camera is perhaps the aspect of smartphones that has made the most progress in recent years. To what extent does your phone already replace a compact camera, DSLR or system camera? Do you take all your photos with your smartphone or do you regularly use another camera?

Smartphone photography

Shooting with a smartphone is very popular. It’s not for nothing that every new flagship puts such a strong emphasis on camera performance. Everyone wants to capture important moments in their life in photos and often you have a phone at hand first.

And yet there are also a lot of things you can do to take your photos to the next level. Androidworld zooms in on the topic with its new AW Podcast smartphone photography. We have smartphone photographer Linda Smit as a guest who shares her best tips with us. On Instagram she reaches a large audience with her beautiful photos and she also teaches how to photograph your phone.

Recently you could also discover in the review what the new 200 megapixel camera of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is capable of. Editor Laura also tested it extensively in San Francisco. “(…) a phone that helps you take great photos and videos,” says Laura, but at the same time it’s “a bit ordinary” and “unexciting” when you look at it as a whole.

AW Poll

This time we want to know how you make the most of your photos. Is your smartphone the most important camera for you? Maybe you still take holiday photos with your DSLR or are you someone who rarely uses your phone to take pictures? Cast your vote in this AW Poll and tell us about your photo habits in the comments.
