GreenStreet Autocycle: a cross between motorcycle and car
With the three-wheeled electric GreenStreet Autocycle you will definitely attract attention on the road. According to the makers, this is the future, but that says more.
GreenStreet Autocycle: is it a motorcycle or a car?
The makers themselves call it a cross between a motorcycle and a car. And there is indeed quite a lot to be said for that. For example, the number of wheels, three, is exactly the average between that of a motorcycle and a car. There is also the open body.
Due to the three-wheeled design, the US Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration considers it to be a motorcycle. Good news for the manufacturer, because it now falls under the less strict rules for motorcycles.
But in our opinion, the GreenStreet Autocycle is more like a car than a motorcycle in terms of driving comfort, safety and driving characteristics. Which is of course not a disaster in itself. Unless you are standing in front of a traffic light between two rows of stationary cars. There is no such thing as passing between frustrated motorists. You must neatly line up in the queue of waiting vehicles.
Sporty specs
The driving characteristics of the hybrid vehicle are not bad at all. This way you can drive more than 400 km on a full battery and the maximum speed is 129 km / h. Do you want to accelerate quickly? Then the GreenStreet Autocycle will certainly succeed. You can reach a speed of 100 km/h in 6 seconds. Once you’re on your way? Then you will be additionally protected by anti-collision software with an integrated rollbar structure if an accident occurs.
The Autocycle is designed with a low center of gravity, making the vehicle easy to drive and control. The delivery of engine power is also smooth. And while some motorcycle enthusiasts may miss the crackling sound of an accelerating engine, the GreenStreet Autocycle is also very quiet.
At the moment there is only a prototype, so it is not certain how much this hybrid engine will cost. But for motorcycle enthusiasts looking for a little more comfort, it is certainly a model to keep an eye on.
