January update available for Samsung Galaxy S10, Nokia X10 and X20

Five smartphones are being updated to a new security patch. This is the case for the Nokia X10 and X20, but also the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. We list the details of the rollout of the new update for you.

January update at Samsung and Nokia

To start with the update from Samsung. The new January security update will be distributed for the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. This is the most recent security patch available for Android. The update was released by Google at the beginning of this month. It became clear that many dozens of vulnerabilities are being addressed in Android. In addition, Samsung itself has also added several patches that address vulnerabilities in its own software and hardware.

Nokia

We’ve been seeing it lately, and it seems that Nokia is making good progress with regard to the update policy. Where the company previously rolled out updates for various models slowly or not at all, it seems to be improving. We now also see this with the Nokia X20 and the Nokia X10. Both devices will also be updated with the January update, Marcel told DroidApp, among others. Looking at the changelog, it becomes clear that the smartphones will not receive any new functions or major changes, only the new patch. The update size is 93.44MB.
