OnePlus tests upcoming tablet: this is what you can expect
A tablet from OnePlus is on the way, according to new rumors. We expect a budget-friendly model, after OPPO also launched an affordable tablet earlier. The device would be named ‘OnePlus Pad’.

A year and a half ago, the first rumors surfaced about a very first tablet from OnePlus, which would be called ‘OnePlus Pad’. That information then came at a time when there was also talk of an OPPO Pad. The OPPO Pad Air tablet finally came on the market in August 2022, but there was no longer a OnePlus tablet.
Until now, because according to information from MySmartPrice, a OnePlus tablet is now being worked on. It concerns a device with the code name ‘Aries’. OPPO and OnePlus employees are now testing the device internally and it should hit the market this summer. Whether we can also expect it in the Netherlands and Belgium is still uncertain. We expect the device to be called ‘OnePlus Pad’ or something similar, as that name has already been trademarked.
What can you expect?
But the question is, of course, what exactly such a OnePlus Pad will look like. If the OPPO Pad Air is an example, then OnePlus’ tablet will be a budget one. The OPPO Pad Air appeared with a 10.36 inch Full HD LCD screen and a light processor: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680.

However, the OnePlus tablet can already have one important advantage, because it will probably come on the market with a more recent Android version. The OPPO Pad Air still works with Android 12, but with Android 13 a lot of improvements have been announced that are aimed in particular at tablets. Android tablets now work with a handy toolbar that represents the most important apps, the interface and menus have been adjusted for larger screens and the split screen has been improved.
