Also for PS5 and Xbox: Popular action RPG breaks through platform boundaries

Publisher Capcom confirms that Monster Hunter Rise will be released on additional platforms. After PC and Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox are now following. Fans don’t have to wait much longer either.

Monster Hunter Rise also for PlayStation and Xbox

Monster Hunter Rise first released for the Nintendo Switch in March 2021 before making its way to PC in January 2022. Unlike Monster Hunter World, PlayStation and Xbox players previously had to access this part waive – but that is about to change.

On January 20, 2023, Monster Hunter Rise is also scheduled to open PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Game Pass appear.

Although previously only available for the Switch and PC, Monster Hunter Rise has already sold more than 11 million copies, making it this third most sold Game by Capcom. So far, Resident Evil 7 and Monster Hunter World have been in the first two places.

With Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, one was released in June 2022 extension to the game. If you are a PC player, you can test the expansion before you buy it as part of a demo on Steam (source: Capcom).

“From novice to expert, the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak demo has four different quests for everyone,” the description reads.

Monster Hunter: A smartphone version should also come

In November, Capcom announced that the developer and publisher is working with Tencent studio Timi on a new Monster Hunter game for mobile devices.

This game aims to reproduce a number of the characteristic hunting scenes while offering players a new gaming experience unique to mobile platforms. It is not yet known when this will appear.
