THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF AMSTERDAM

Reality show The Real Housewives has been a hit in America for almost fifteen years, but is now also conquering the rest of the world. What started with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2008 has gone on to spawn more than 30 national and international variants and a slew of spin-offs. Now it is the turn of the Netherlands. The concept is simple, we follow the lives of a group of very wealthy women and the ups and downs of their social circle. We see how the participants go on luxurious trips together, visit decadent parties and have intoxicated get-togethers in their million-dollar villas. That comes with drama, a lot of drama. At the end of each season there is a ‘return moment’, in which a presenter puts the ladies through their paces about all the mutual events. The result: even more drama.
