This e-bike is for anyone who doesn’t want an e-bike
A real battle of beliefs is raging among cyclists: some swear by e-bikes, others stubbornly stick to their classic bikes without a motor. The new One E+Bike from Lemo could now combine both worlds.
They enable longer and steeper routes, are more comfortable and also motivate people who aren’t great athletes to get on their bikes: e-bikes are becoming increasingly popular in Germany. In the past year alone, 2 million electric bicycles were sold in Germany – with a strong upward trend. However, fans of classic cycling often turn up their noses at the e-bike boom. But with the One E+Bike, an e-bike will soon be coming onto the market that could also satisfy them.
One E+Bike motor can be completely decoupled from the hub
The highlight of the chic e-bike: According to the manufacturer Lemo, it should be can also be driven without a motor or resistance. The 250-watt motor can be completely uncoupled from the hub with just one movement (source: golem). Lemo has patented this technique. Of the Battery with its capacity of 540 watt hours is located on the front frame area and can be removed completely. Clever: The battery called “Smartpac” can also charge other electrical devices such as smartphones or laptops via the integrated USB port.
A row of smart features are designed to make cyclists’ lives more comfortable. For example, the front light on the One E+Bike can be removed and used as a flashlight, an LTE module in the bike enables localization and an LC display is located on the top tube, which shows information such as speed, charge level or assistance.

With these functions and the Weight of only 14 in total kilogram manufacturer Lemo could have built the perfect e-bike for everyone who actually doesn’t want an e-bike – after all, the One E+Bike can be converted into a normal bike in just a few simple steps, which is neither heavier than a classic bike nor has greater resistance owns. On the other hand, the e-bike mode would be available on request for longer distances.
From autumn 2022, the One E+Bike from Lemo will be available to order in different versions. That motor-driven base model will cost 1,990 euros (look at Lemo).
