Summer on Schokland
The former island of Schokland is located in the middle of the Noordoostpolder. A place where people lived for centuries. It’s now been 150 years since the densely populated island was cleared due to ongoing storm surge. This summer it is the location for the cultural festival ‘Zomer op Schokland’. With children’s activities, including a special children’s art route: ‘Closer to the Water’.
