6 tips for a smart watch as a Christmas present up to CZK 6,000
Christmas, Christmas is coming… and you may be looking for the right smart watch under the tree right now for someone. If you have set up for their acquisition financial ceiling somewhere to six thousand crowns, you are in the right place. We have an editorial selection of six specific models for you, which have quite a small chance to disappoint as a gift. How did we choose?
The selection is a combination of the popularity of products on Heuréka.cz, the preferences of the editor and the affordability in the selected level. An alternative version for women or men can also be purchased for most watches. For balance, we have given space to six different brands. Given the focus of our website, the Apple Watch is missing from the list, however, even those are, of course, among the most popular.
Samsung Galaxy Watch4 40mm
The latest model of this year’s Samsung watch flag series. In this case, a smaller 40mm variant without a rotating bezel will fit into the financial ceiling, however, with the Wear OS system, which the watch of this brand has mastered for the first time in history. Thanks to it, they are able, for example, to install a large number of applications directly from the Play Store and also to pay contactlessly via Google Pay.
Among the interesting functions for which the watch should be interesting compared to the competition are, for example, ECG or blood pressure measurement. They also have a built-in speaker with a microphone, so you can make calls through them. Call and message response options are very advanced. We tested a larger Classic variant with a bezel.
Garmin vívoactive 4
A representative of the series, which tries to combine both elegant design and cleverness, as well as the sporting abilities of the watch. Model 4 is men’s, but you can also reach for the women’s 4S variant with a lower price. Both versions impress, for example, with the highly praised BODY BATTERY analytical mode and a very high level of overall health monitoring.
They can also handle Garmin Pay, store up to 500 songs and athletes will enjoy, for example, step cadence counting, swimming shot detection and support for many compatible sports equipment. Calls and messages can be answered in an acceptable way. If you don’t particularly like this model, be sure to explore the Garmin brand.

Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro
When the Chinese giant recently introduced a new third line of this flag watch, the price of the previous one fell below our required limit of six thousand crowns. Watch GT 2 Pro impresses with a “sharp” metallic look with a durable sapphire crystal and also long life. They can handle 14 days. Huawei watches generally have a high quality sleep and stress analysis.
This model can lead back along the route during hiking, warn of dangerous weather fluctuations and developers have focused on supporting skiing and snowboarding. They also have a speaker and a microphone and can be called from them. At first, they couldn’t respond to the news, but that changed a few months ago with an update. We tested.
Fitbit Versa 3
Visually, perhaps the most boring watch from the entire selection, which, due to the square display, resembles a clever bracelet, but the appearance is deceptive. It is distinguished from the regular smart band by, for example, the presence of a speaker, its own GPS module or support for NFC payments thanks to Fitbit Pay.
A few days old system update will also allow the watch to handle calls directly from the wrist, SpO2 measurements in the background, and Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa also appeared in them.
Amazfit GTR 3 Pro
When including the Amazfit watch in this selection, the T-Rex Pro model also fought for a place, which is also great in many respects (be sure to check it out and give it a chance), however the GTR 3 Pro are a more interesting choice for several reasons and more close to the set price limit.
In a recent review, we were able to praise, for example, the design, the successful application (just like Huami, it also changed its name to Zepp), the new control with the crown button or the very decent endurance. Unfortunately, the possibility of responding to messages is missing and the system does not yet speak Czech.
Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 2020
TicWatch watches are generally interesting due to their dual displays – one layer is smart and offers a complete service of the Wear OS system, the other is extremely economical and when turned on, it turns the device into a regular watch with only a time display. It is this capability and the mentioned system with the support of Google Pay (and also with the possibility of uploading an alternative OS variant) that are the biggest attractions of TicWatch Pro 2020 (we also tested).
Unfortunately, the older and less efficient Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor slightly reduces the overall impression. Newer flagship models, however, no longer fit into the financial ceiling. Unless you look for slightly weaker models, maybe even smaller ones for ladies. We can recommend that.
