‘4K videos on YouTube will soon be only for Premium customers’

It seems that YouTube is going to make a change in the free features that the video platform offers. Free users may not be able to access 4K quality videos in the future.

No free 4K quality

Changes to YouTube are reported on various social networks. This specifically concerns what is available to customers who do not have a Premium subscription, the vast majority of YouTube users. Where until now you could just watch videos in the highest resolution, such as 4K, that may soon change.

The changes relate to the resolution that is available. Several customers would already have to pay to watch videos in 4K, something that would be free. It seems to be a test from Google and not every user has to deal with it yet. Chances are, in the future, Google will only make 4K video viewing available to those with YouTube Premium. Users with this have several extras and YouTube is therefore ad-free.
