38 percent of readers never game on their phone

Just cranking up a game on the phone: according to our AW Poll, we don’t seem to do it that often. 38 percent of readers say they never play on their Android phone at all. Remarkable, because games are gaining more and more ground, such as Fortnite and PUBG.

Gaming on your phone

Adje69 doesn’t like games. “I never game anyway. I’d rather play sports or do social things 🤪” While he certainly has a point when it comes to sports, gaming can of course also be very social. Playing a game of Ticket to Ride with your partner in bed or playing Wordfeud online with a friend and chatting in the meantime: that too falls under gaming and is actually very pleasant.

Although 38 percent of readers never game, there is also a group of 34 percent who even game every day. 18 percent of them only play for a short time, but a fairly thick 16 percent spend more than an hour a day on it. On the other hand, it is also conceivable: many games give you extra rewards if you check in every day. Also, one game is not the other: some games require only a few minutes a day of your time, such as games in which you run a farm, for example. You can play other games for hours, such as Fortnite.

AW Poll

RebelwithoutaClue is one of those people who checks in every day, although Rebel exposes a well-known problem: when you are a child you have time, but no money to play games, but as you get older that shifts: then you have the money, but not the time: “Have a PS4 and a big gamePC but rarely play on it anymore. Too busy the last few years with my work, my girlfriend and friends. But I do play a few games of Marvel’s PuzzleQuest every day.”

A tenth of the readers starts a game several times a week, but it doesn’t work every day. Finally, 4 percent can be found gaming on their smartphone less than once a week and 14 percent do it less than once a month. Angelus230 for example. “I have so many consoles and a gaming PC to play at home, and a lot of handhelds and a Steam Deck to play games on the go. Still, I occasionally play a game on my phone, but usually from a well-known name. Fallout Shelter, Lara Croft GO, Sonic Boom, Monopoly with friends/family… But that’s really only on the toilet for a game or 2. Have more than enough games that I prefer to play.”

If you read this article on the toilet, wash your hands, right? See you next week, when we put you to the test on a new Mario game, oh no, AW Poll.
