37 percent find camera most important on phone

37 percent of respondents to our AW Poll say the camera is the most important feature of their phone. Taking photos, making videos, but also scanning QR codes: apparently many people are doing it to the fullest.

Important: camera

glass blower, for example, who sometimes even leaves his SLR camera at home: “A good camera on the phone is the most important thing for me. Very occasionally the digital SLR is still on the road, but the handiness and quality of the cameras + software on the Pixel phones have almost made me forget the dslr camera.” marinowall1964 believes it is also very important: “One of the most important things for me. Along with the battery. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to pay more than 1000€.”

36 percent, an almost equal number, think the cameras are just as important as other features of the smartphone. After all, it is also useful if the battery lasts a long time to be able to use those cameras for a long time, or if you have a nice screen to be able to see the end result properly. CubicNomad: “I think the cameras on a phone are just as important as other features. Everything has to be right software & hardware that are made for each other, imagine you have a top camera but poor software experience that doesn’t work well either. Top software but the same broken camera. In other words, the total package (soft & hardware) must work well together.”
