210W charging and 200MP camera
Xiaomi has announced four new devices in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series. The series consists of the new Redmi Note 12, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, the 12 Pro+ and the 12 Explorer Edition. We list the details.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Series
Four new smartphones have been announced by Xiaomi. The manufacturer has taken the curtain off the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series. The new devices were first announced for the Chinese market. However, we expect that they will also come to our country in due course, since the current Redmi Note 11 series is also available in our country. That series was presented in March this year. Now that the devices have been announced, we will at least find out all the specifications.
Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro+
Two models have been released in the Pro series; the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is the showpiece, where the phone is equipped with a 200 megapixel camera. It uses pixel binning and has an 8MP wide angle and 2MP macro lens. With the Redmi Note 12 Pro, the main camera has 50 megapixels. Both devices have a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Xiaomi supplies the smartphones with Android 12, with the MIUI 13 interface. The Redmi Note 12 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, along with 6/8/12GB of RAM. The storage space is 128GB or 256GB. With the Plus model we see the same processor, but you can choose from 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB storage space. Both devices get a 5000 mAh battery with 67W charging for the Pro and 120W fast charging for the Pro+. Nice detail; both devices have a 3.5 millimeter jack for a headset.
Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition is a special device. This is in fact equipped with 210W charging, an unprecedented speed that we have not seen before with a smartphone. Fully charging the phone only takes 9 minutes. With the Pro+ this is only 19 minutes for a larger battery. The smartphone also shares many similar specifications with those of the Pro and Pro+. The battery capacity of the Explorer Edition is 4300 mAh.
Redmi Note 12
The standard model in this series is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12. This model will have the same 6.67 inch Full-HD OLED screen. The 5000 mAh battery can be charged with 33W and there is the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. The smartphone appears with a 48 megapixel camera with a 2 megapixel depth lens, so no wide-angle lens for this device. Up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is available.
