MacBook Pro with M2 chip can be ordered today
Apple announced two new laptops at its WWDC 2022 event: the MacBook Air 2022 and an upgraded 13-inch MacBook Pro. Not much has changed with the new Pro laptop – at least on the outside. For example, it has the same design as its predecessor, including the relatively large screen edges and a Touch Bar. On the inside, however, Apple did make an important change.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro has a brand new M2 chip under the hood. That is the second generation of Apple’s self-designed Mac chip. The M1 was already very fast, but the M2 takes it one step further. For example, it is up to 1.4 times faster than its predecessor and no less than six times faster than the last 13-inch MacBook Pro with an Intel chip. Do you use your laptop a lot? Despite all that power, the new MacBook Pro lasts up to twenty hours on a full charge.
In addition to the new MacBook Pro, there is also a redesigned MacBook Air, which costs a little hundred euros less than this Pro. This one will only be available from July. Both laptops run on the lightning-fast M2 chip – and the Air has an even more modern design with more connections than the Pro. Before you buy, think carefully about which laptop you prefer and don’t be distracted by the Pro name.
