1&1 is giving away Fritz WLAN repeaters – you can get up to 4 of them

If you have problems with your WLAN, you will try everything to improve the network coverage in your own home. However, this often only works with additional devices such as a WLAN repeater. 1&1 has therefore started a campaign where you can get up to four Fritz WLAN repeaters free of charge. This also applies to existing customers.

1&1 gives away WiFi repeaters to customers

If the WLAN signal in the apartment or house is bad, then only frustration arises when surfing the net. I speak from my own experience. Especially if you depend on a stable network for working in the home office, you don’t need problems with the WLAN. So I equipped my apartment with WiFi repeaters to increase network coverage. This is child’s play with mesh technology. And exactly such WLAN repeaters are currently being given away by 1&1. Specifically it says there:

More WLAN range for your home network

1&1 WiFi promise: We’ll get your WiFi up and running! If our WiFi experts determine that you need additional signal amplifiers for optimal WiFi reception in all rooms, we will provide you with up to 4 WiFi repeaters free of charge. To do this, simply contact 1&1 Customer Service after setting up your DSL connection. (Source: 1&1)

at mydealz many 1&1 customers contacted support and, as existing customers, were promised several WiFi repeaters free of charge. You only have to describe the support in detail where the problem lies and you can get up to four devices free of charge. It is not entirely clear whether you can really keep the WiFi repeater. There are different statements. I’m a 1&1 customer myself and tried to contact support, but it’s currently overloaded. Of course, you should only get the WiFi repeater for free if you really need it. Otherwise there will be no more such actions.

This is how you can get everything out of your Fritzbox:

How long does the 1&1 campaign run?

The campaign page for new customers says something from February 28, 2022, although of course we don’t know exactly whether this also applies to the WiFi repeaters. If too many customers contact support, the campaign could also be ended prematurely or limited to new customers.
