Pure nostalgia: Apple iPhone with iOS 4
This year the iPhone turned 15 and Apple has released more than 30 iPhones in recent years. The iOS operating system has also undergone a lot of changes over the years.
Want to see what it was like early? Check out the video below from the Consumers’ Association about the iPhone and let the nostalgia take you away. In this, the release of iOS 4 was discussed by Sanne Jansweijer.
iOS 4 brought these changes
She tells in this video that a lot has remained the same, but that you can now “finally choose your own background”. Multitasking was also just around the corner. This required you to quickly press the home button twice. With iOS 4 it also became possible to put apps in folders. It’s nice to see that some of the features introduced in iOS 4 are still there, even in iOS 16.
Another notable detail was that it wasn’t until iOS 4 that you were able to create playlists for music on your iPhone. Before that, you always had to create them in iTunes. Also new was that you could zoom in with the camera. With which you actually only made a crop of the photo, because the iPhone did not yet have an optical zoom (that only came with the iPhone 7 Plus).
