The iPhone SE is the perfect device for anyone who is looking for a new iPhone, but does not want to pay the top price. The fact that you don’t get all the new functions, you have to take it for granted.

For example, the iPhone SE 2022 has a fairly new chip, but there is no trace of Face ID. The screen is also quite small and thanks to the Touch ID button you have a large black bar under the device. This ensures that the iPhone SE 2022 is fast, but looks quite outdated.

Liked that @AR72014 also and that is why he came up with a concept for the iPhone SE 4. He would like the next iPhone SE to be based on the iPhone 13 mini, but with the Dynamic Island.

He turned that idea into a concept and as you can see, this gives the iPhone SE 4 a premium look. Unfortunately, this would mean that the iPhone SE 4 will have to rise considerably in price. A larger screen, Face ID and Dynamic Island are not cheap.

You should then think about the price of the iPhone 13 mini. This would mean that the iPhone SE 4 will cost more than 800 euros. That is considerably more expensive than the suggested retail price of a new iPhone SE 2022 (529 euros).

Not a Dynamic Island after all

Still, it seems strong to us that Apple chooses to bring the Dynamic Island to the budget iPhone. It seems more plausible to us that it will get a notch as standard, this is the black notch at the top of the screen. The latest rumors also told us that it will get the look of the iPhone XR. Still, we certainly wouldn’t mind being able to opt for a small iPhone with the Dynamic Island.

iPhone SE 4 has been cancelled

Now that we are not sure whether there will ever be a successor to the budget iPhone, we hope that Apple is secretly watching. A combination of an iPhone SE with an iPhone 13 mini could perhaps provide the necessary popularity boost.

Some iPhone users would like a small iPhone. And now that plans for an iPhone SE 4 have been canceled — or at least postponed, according to one analyst — there are no new options for buying a small iPhone from Apple.
