There will be a major update for the AirPods Pro this year. Renowned Apple analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman provide more information about the new earbuds. You will soon see these new functions in the AirPods Pro 2.

AirPods Pro 2 Features
According to Bloomberg’s Gurman, Apple is planning a “substantial update” for the AirPods Pro this year. According to the analysts at Bloomberg, the AirPods Pro 2 will have a new design without the ‘stalks’. If that is indeed the case, they might be more like Apple’s Beats Studio Buds.
Gurman and Debby Wu also say that the AirPods Pro 2 will also have built-in motion sensors. This means that the earbuds will have health functions, just like the Apple Watch.
However, the AirPods Pro 2 get even more features. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, lossless audio will be supported. This means that you will soon be able to listen to music on your brand new earbuds without loss of quality.

In addition to the new features, the AirPods Pro 2 also get a new chip. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, there will be a ‘much better’ chip that will replace the H1 chip. This new chip will probably make the AirPods Pro 2 (among other things) more energy-efficient. With the current AirPods Pro you have 4.5 hours of listening time on a single charge, but that will probably be longer.
The charging case is good for more than 24 hours of listening time. But Kuo indicated that the storage box also has a new trick: it becomes possible to make a sound. This makes it a lot easier to find your charging case when you want to charge the earphones.
AirPods Pro 2 release
We now also know a release date for the new version of the AirPods Pro. Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has information that the AirPods Pro 2 release will take place in the fourth quarter of 2022.
