Yes! Fortunately, the MacBook Pro models come with this feature anyway
Tonight is the Apple event. The MacBook Pro models are also presented there and they come with this nice and well-known function!
According to multiple rumors, Apple would come with a new design for the first time in five years. Bloomberg was the first to report that two new models will be on the market, namely a 14-inch and a 16-inch. These new Pro models will have a redesigned row of function keys.
MacBook Pro feature
The function keys are expected to be used in full size on new MacBook Pro models. They will replace the Touch Bar, and each modifier key will be the same width and height as the alphanumeric keys on the rest of the keyboard, according to rumors and leaked schematics seen by MacRumors.
The rumor mill has been going crazy over the past few days. Multiple last-minute MacBook Pro leaks came along. For example, regarding a possible notch at the top of the screen. We’re not sure yet if the notch rumor will turn out to be true, but what we’re very confident about is the layout of the redesigned keyboard. Still something important.
Touch Bar
In 2016, the tech company introduced this feature. Instead of a Touch Bar, however, the new MacBook Pro models are expected to have a complementary row of full-sized function keys. Similar to Apple’s Magic Keyboard that comes with the 24-inch iMac.
The Touch Bar caused a lot of confusion among users. With some not liking the lack of physical controls for functions such as volume or brightness. Apple already made a small concession. Namely, when it reintroduced a physical Escape key on the latest 13-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. This came after users complained about the virtual Escape key on the Touch Bar of previous models.
The return of function keys, in full swing, seems to be just one indication that, after some alleged missteps in recent years, Apple is doing everything it can to make the MacBook Pro a true professional machine again. Tonight’s Apple event is at 7:00 PM UK time. Then we will know for sure!
