Xiaomi wants to provide better information about the condition of the battery
One of the most important parts in a smartphone is the battery. If this gets weaker over time, the device will run for a shorter time and, in the worst case, even go out faster than the battery indicator would suggest. Xiaomi wants to be loud SmartDroid soon to integrate a function in his smartphones that reveals more information about the battery. So you get a little history available. Xiaomi will display the status of the battery in four stages:
- Bad
- normal
- Good
- Excellent
In addition, the temperature and the charging processes of the energy storage device are shown. So if Xiaomi users notice in the future that the runtime of the cell phone is decreasing rapidly and that you have to recharge far too often, then you can find out there whether the battery is still in good condition. You can also find out whether the battery is already at its limit or whether an app or a game is running in the background and the runtime is massively reduced. In addition, when reselling or buying a used item, you can see directly whether the battery is in good condition. Otherwise such information is not so easily obtained. If the battery has to be replaced, the costs are often high. The iPhones from Apple have already integrated comparable information. You can see the health of the battery under Settings → Battery → Battery status under “Maximum capacity”.
